Hi👋

My name is David Redmond, and i believe strongly that media can and should be used for good.

Firstly thank you for being curious enough to learn a bit about me. On this page I’ll give you a flavour of what I do, and if you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch. Right, what do I do exactly?

I currently work For Vision Ireland, formaly the NCBI, (The National council For The Blind of Ireland). As part of the V I Labs Digital Content team, I help produce Podcasts, Newsletters, and Videos to help keep visually impaired people informed about the great technology that can be of benefit in our daily lives.

I also have more traditional radio experience working for Cork City Community Radio. I did all sorts here, working on imaging, news inserts, program inserts, show feature research and delivery, as well as vast amounts of digital content across social media.

I have great knowledge of the radio industry and wrote about it on a weekly basis for many years for Radio Land, a website I created to keep Ireland’s radio industry informed. This Website has also given me great experience building websites using the WordPress CMS. I’ve sunset the website now to get some time back for other projects, but I’m super proud of what Radio Land achieved. 

Outside of radio I’m also interested in technology and love trying out the newest gadget around. I have previously been involved in Beta testing software and have assisted both small app developers and larger companies such as Microsoft.
